About The Event

Come join us in Hartford as we hear from Jeff Benedict, author of several books including Without Reservation and Little Pink House.  Jeff explores the founding of the Foxwoods Casino in Without Reservation and discusses the Kelo eminent domain case in Little Pink House. Jeff will be discussing these controversial Connecticut issues with us.

The breakfast starts at 7:15am and will conclude at about 8:45am.

The cost to attend is $25, which includes breakfast and free parking.  In addition, you can also purchase your choice of Without Reservation or Little Pink House!

About Jeff Benedict

Jeff Benedict is considered one of America's top non-fiction writers. He is the author of nine critically acclaimed books and over fifty articles. His writings have been the basis of feature segments on 60 Minutes, ABC 20/20, NBC Dateline, HBO Real Sports, and the Discovery Channel. Jeff's articles have been published in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, and the Hartford Courant. He is a frequent public speaker and a regular commentator on network news and television programs, commenting on athletes and crime, Indian gaming, eminent domain, and leadership and ethics in business.

Jeff Benedict was born in 1966 in New London, Connecticut.  He has a Bachelor’s in History from Eastern Connecticut State University, a Master’s in Political Science from Northeastern University, and a J.D. from the New England School of Law.  He previously practiced law in Connecticut, where he has spent most of his life.  He is currently a distinguished Professor of English at Southern Virginia University.
